I Think I Might Have PTSD: What The Pho?

Brooks Marks opens the episode by debuting a new blazer design. Meredith Marks is hosting a mellow Girls' Night. Jennie Nguyen visits Meredith and Jennie shares that her husband has suggested getting a Sister Wife. Lisa Barlow shows up much later and delivers a great confessional with a Pho pun and a dig about Heather Gay and Whitney Rose flying home commercial from Vail. The women have several drinks and talk about their sex lives before dressing Jennie up "like a hooker".

Jen Shah drives herself around Salt Lake City and calls Heather for a pep talk before meeting with Lisa. Lisa stutters out that she still believes Jen is innocent until proven guilty. In her confessional, Lisa explains that her husband told her that normally she would be there for Jen right away and should meet with her. Lisa tries to explain she still feels hurt from the Fresh Wolf fight. In her confessional, Jen thinks that her arrest should supersede anything before. She brags about Heather being a better friend to her than she feels Lisa has been. Jen cries and tells Lisa she needs her to be a better friend during this difficult period in her life.

Heather has her brother Tyler over. Tyler shares that because of Heather leaving the church, he was inspired to leave the church. Her decision sparked his curiosity to look up the origins of the church and he drew the conclusion that he might be a bad parent because he was raising his kids in a cult. Tyler says it hurt him when Heather didn't call him after he wrote her a letter to share that he was leaving the church. Heather breaks down and apologizes because she was afraid to say anything and she didn't want to come in between anyone and their faith.

The Shah's are celebrating the last day of Ramadan. Coach Shah suggests they cut down on their spending and downsize so that they can fight for Jen's freedom. Jen says she doesn't want to downsize because it would change how their house is the hub for everyone.

Lisa and Whitney meet up for a workout date. They do yoga on paddleboards in a giant crater. They rehash what happened in Vail. Whitney explained what her problem was with it and Lisa tries to explain that because she talked to Mary Cosby that night it felt more settled the next day. Whitney shares that she reached out to Cameron, which Lisa finds suspicious. Whitney says their is accusation online that her and Robert Sr. are predators. Lisa claims to not know that but suggests things with Mary are hard to navigate because she's complicated.

The women descend on the Pho Luncheon. Whitney, Jen, and Heather meet to pregame. Lisa shows up trying to honor Vietnamese tradition by having straight hair, platforms, and pants under her dress. Meredith spots Jen walking in and confronts Jennie about inviting both of them to the same event. Jennie explains that at the peace garden she was hoping for a drama free event. Mary is running late so the women sit down without her. Heather expresses concern about being seated next to Mary after their fight in Vail. Mary arrives and gives Jen a hug, then greets Heather and Whitney. Shockingly, Mary tells Jennie that she likes her slanted eyes. Mary and Heather hold a side conversation and put their differences aside. Whitney whispers (loudly) in Jen's ear that she feels like she is "tripping on shrooms" with everyone being "fake". Mary calls it out and brings Whitney's words to the group's attention. Jen offers to talk about her arrest. Mary expresses disbelief that Jen has been oblivious to everything going on around her. Chaos erupts as the women yell over each other about who was betraying Jen's friendship and how and when. Mary interrupts to say that she didn't say anything bad about Jen (not true). Lisa and Jennie pile on to Jen to let her know that they all talked badly about her. In her confessional, Mary bluntly says she hopes Jen is innocent but believes she is guilty. Lisa and Mary get into it as Lisa interrupts the one-on-one conversation Mary is hoping to have with Jen. Mary characterizes it as Lisa having no self awareness, that she comes off like a Tasmanian Devil and suggests Lisa's diet of candy and alleged bad menstrual cycles could be to blame. Jennie gets fired up and exposes that Mary is lying about to Jen and tells Jen that Mary said she believes everything the FBI has charged her with. Jennie shows Mary the gate. Mary leaves and Meredith follows behind her. Lisa tries to explain that they all experienced a rollercoaster of emotions and that she probably has PTSD from that day. Jen cries out that she has PTSD from that day and leaves the table. Mary finds Jen crying and slips up and says that she prayed to God that Jen was guilty. Meredith, thinking she is standing up for Mary and Jen, scolds the group that pretending to be nice to someone when you talked poorly about them behind their back is what she considers to be fake. Cut to, Mary being nice to Jen. Meredith then accuses Lisa of attacking Jen enough to leave. Lisa defends herself and Meredith defends Mary. Meredith's voice cracks and sites Jen traumatizing her family as the reason she needs to go, and then gets up to leave. Lisa gets up to follow her and when she tries to talk to Meredith, Meredith tells her that she's tired of hearing her yell for 30 minutes. Lisa confronts Meredith, once again, over not defending her against Mary. Lisa cries and begs Meredith to stay for her and to be a support for her at the dinner. Meredith and Lisa return, followed by Jen and Mary. Jen declares her innocence. Heather offers her words of support that Mary undermines.
