Hiding From The Truth: A House Divided

Meredith Marks defends Mary Cosby against the women as they continue to push the idea that Mary is running a cult. Meredith claims the women are hypocritical for not listening to her concerns about Jen Shah but they’re willing to raise questions about Mary. Lisa Barlow tells Mary that questions are being raised about her church and that they’ve all read things online about her church being a cult. Mary tells her that the parishioners in her church don’t think that she’s God but it should not bother her if people are saying things about Mary and the church because Lisa should have loyalty to her. Lisa tells Mary that Jen said people go on food stamps to support the church, there are suicides, and throws out more cult accusations.

Mary gives Jennie Nguyen a gift for “doing her makeup and taking the time to talk to her and listen”; seemingly squashing their beef. She “gifts” her Christian Louboutin booties. Mary also explains this will make her luggage lighter on the way home.

Whitney Rose accuses Heather Gay of talking about Mary being a fraud and then later that night laughing with Mary and Lisa and receiving gifts from Mary. Heather explains that Lisa and Mary came into her room and Mary gifted Heather a Louis Vuitton purse. Heather tells Whitney that Lisa and Mary are still friends but Mary considers Whitney to no longer be her friend. Naturally, Whitney and Heather blame Lisa for Whitney’s following out with Mary.

Heather meets with her sister Nancy and Nancy’s husband Mike. Nancy left the Mormon church and it fractured their family. Nancy had multiple sclerosis and her family never reached out to her. They talk about how Heather did everything her dad said to do, and Nancy was jealous of everything that Heather had: family, faith and their father’s love. They agree to mend their relationship.

Lisa calls her husband John and tells him that Meredith booked them a jet for the ride home. Meredith, Lisa and Jennie sit down to discuss the night before. Meredith regrets talking to Whitney about Cameron and begins to cry. Meredith sees a similarity between Mary this season and her last season in regards to everyone talking poorly about them behind their back. Meredith says she would like to give Mary a chance to publicly defend herself against everyone else’s accusations.

Lisa calls everyone into the living room because they have coasters and coffee tables. (Really it’s so Meredith can initiate a confrontation with the other women and their petulant gossip about Mary.) Jennie thinks it’s hypocritical to not like people talking behind another’s back, and also hire a PI to investigate your friends (subtweet @ Meredith). Meredith opens by apologizing to Whitney and Mary for participating in gossip. Whitney claims she wouldn’t have brought it up if Lisa hadn’t brought Cameron into it. Lisa debunks Whitney’s conspiracy by bringing to light that Cameron is on the board of the charity her sons’ company was raising money for. Mary tells the women that she has nothing to say to them and doesn't need to defend herself. She bickers with Whitney and Heather defends Whitney, again. Mary tells Heather she never stands up for her against Whitney and points to her cooking class as proof. To deflect, Heather brings up Lisa's part in their conversation from the night before . Lisa tells Whitney to stop accusing her of being a mastermind and always thinking the worst of her. Lisa claims her New Yorker roots prevent her from being a snake, she’d be shady and proud of it. Heather brings up the gift Mary gave her and Mary tells her that that is no one else’s business. Whitney gets the women to reveal what they each got from Mary: (Jennie, Louboutin heels; Lisa, Chanel clutch; Meredith, Louis Vuitton hat). Mary tells Heather that they’re on the rocks, too. Mary suggests Heather is a drunk. In her confessional, Heather defends her drinking by saying you need alcohol to deal with Mary. Heather continues to blame Lisa and Lisa tries to clarify that after their talk last night as a group, she spoke to Mary about everything privately and cleared enough of it up to be satisfied. Heather storms off and labels the women fearful of Mary.

Whitney comforts Heather and Heather cries that she doesn’t want to return home with them. Mary then confronts Meredith and Lisa about their disloyalty. Mary cries that she was born into her church and everyone has hated her based on her life and her lifestyle. Mary is astonished and hurt that the women would compare her to Jen. Mary calls Heather chubby and "with all her yelling". Mary confronts Heather one more time about Heather's disloyalty to her. She calls Heather a liar and tells her she’s weird.

Heather and Whitney buy their tickets home on a commercial Delta flight. Mary, Meredith, Jennie, and Lisa fly home private.
